I found this on another forum

If you actually work it out, you'll realize that $1200 bundle is a rip off. You get more, at a cheaper price if you buy all of what is in the bundle separately.

Buy all those games separately along with the premium X360+ a charger+ a battery pack, and it'll turn out cheaper.

premium pack = $399.99

11 games* @ $55 = $605

Battery pack = $11.99

Charge unit = $19.99

Sub Total = $1037

12 months Xbox live = $50

Total = $1087

You can save $113 if you buy everything separately, that money could go towards another couple of games. Plus with the separate premium X360 pack, you get all those accessories (remote etc) plus the HDD, does this ultimate Gamestop bundle have a HDD?

*I'm not sure of the game prices, one of the games is a collectors edition (so it could be $60)...but the others should be $50 each....in any case I put each game price at $55 just to be on the safe side. This means you could infact save more if all those games (except the collector's edition) are $50.

I do not see this as a problem since not all gamers are on welfare. :D

These bundles are useless unless you are able to choose your own games, like they did with the original xbox launch.

1. Xbox 360 System -$399.99

2. Perfect Dark Collector's Edition -$59.99

3. Project Gotham Racing 3 - $49.99

4. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - $59.99

5. Dead or Alive 4 - $59.99

6. Call of Duty 2 - $59.99

7. GUN - $59.99

8. Quake 4 - $59.99

9. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - $59.99

10. Condemned - $59.99

11. Madden NFL 06 - $59.99

12. Kameo - $49.99

13. Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - $49.99

14. Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit - $19.99

15. Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery - $11.99

16. Xbox Live 12 Month Card - $49.99

17. 1 Year Product Replacement Plan - $X

So, 1YR Replacement Plan is $1199-$1171

So, the replacement plan is roughly $28. These bundles offer no savings. They also are not overpriced. They are simply all the items put together for you. They do not advertise them as savings, either. You are not getting "ripped off" if you buy this expensive bundle.

I preordered my 360 at Gamestop, but they didn't mention any bundles at the time. Are they going to force everyone to buy one of the bundles? I was hoping I could just buy the premium system and pick and choose the games and peripherals I wanted. That would be the best option for everyone I think.

As stated before, these bundles merely feed on the fear of some consumers that think this is the only way their guaranteed a 360 at launch.. and those that have the cash to not "hassle" with finding one locally.
