Gamma control program for Radeon in Linux?

496 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  imagegeek2
I'm going to buy a Radeon, as this GF4ti4200 doesn't have gamma control for the overlay (even in Windows). Is there such a utility for Linux and the Radeon?

ATI just came out with a unified binary linux driver that includes a KDE control panel for the card. But nobody has tried it and reported back how well it did or didn't work. So go for it! Include screenshots too ok?
I have downloaded and installed the new unified driver on my system today. ( im using an 8500 in redhat 8 ) So far everything seems to work great the new control panel has added support for multiple monitors  . it does have a gamma control but i have yet to try that out. The good news is the drivers do have XV support and it is working on my system. I also now have OpenGL 3d support.
well i did try the gamma setting while using the overlay and it does not work it is just a gamma control for games and the desktop.
kejar31,

You rock. tell us more about the interface that let you muck with the gamma...
