Garth Brooks Live In LA! on CBS

Curious if anyone knows if this live concert from LA will be in HD. I'm doubting this one off, one hour, concert will be in HD but I'd hoping it is

Being Garth Brooks, who is obsessed with doing everything big/best, could make sure HD is planned.

The schedule on the CBS website indicates yes, however, these things have been wrong before.
According to my CBS procedures wire, "Garth Brooks: Live in LA!" will be available both in HD and 5.1.
Good to hear. Looking forward to seeing it on the TiVo when I get home from LA

If it means anything, the commercials promoting it have been in HD.

Well we have seen that deception before. The procedures wire note from the local cbs "tape monkey" is the best indicator we have

My local CBS does not show it in HD on their calendar -- hopefully it is just wrong. It has to have a better picture and audio than the GAC concert from KC (saw it in the movie theater and was shocked at how bad it looked on GAC).

Hopefully one of these two comes to blu-ray.
The concert that he had in Kansas City in November was recorded in HD. But so far has only been replayed on GAC in SD.
Oh my, is the audio bad on this. Bad enough to hear the off key audience member(s) singing along, but the 5.1 balance is really wrong.

The audio IS TERRIBLE! (but looks great...)
Lord, I hope they remix this and release it on hd/blu-ray...

Totally unwatchable because of this... or should I say unlistenable?

Is it just me or do Garth's vocals sound like he is singing into a tin can? I can't believe that in this day and age the quality can be so bad.... :-(
I was at the Staples Center and the audio in the building wasn't very good for the 6pm PT show. Still had a blast.
maybe it is just bad country music?

looked great for the 30 seconds i cound stand

It wasn't you, matter of fact I said the exact same thing. Bad Microphone I guess.
Everything my local passes for CBS 5.1 they put center channel audio in all the surrounds. Been that way for 6 months.

Does your local really do 5.1? If your TV or cable box says 5.1, they should be passing the CBS 5.1. If they're not, and taking only the CBS stereo and faking 5.1, that's just sad.
