I just got a new Geforce4 TI4200 card the other day, and am having some resolution problems that aren't really HTPC related, but since people here are the masters of powerstrip, thought you might be able to help.

The specs on the card list supported resolutions, among those are 1600x1200 then a big gap, and 1920x1080 or something as the next supported resolution, but it has some higher ones above that as well. My monitors maximum res is 1800x1440. I was unable to get powerstrip to set the monitor to that resolution - in fact, I couldn't get it to do anything between the 2 resolutions listed above. Do these cards just not support custom resolutions? If they do, what am I doing wrong? :(

You don't say what NVidia driver you are using, but for the GF4 generally and the 28.xx/29.xx drivers in particular, you need to use the latest version of PowerStrip. Do a Live update and retry those resolutions:

PowerStrip menu > Options > Online services > Live update
