Hey, I recently upgraded from a GF2 to a GF4 4200 and am having major problems getting my custom resolutions to work.

I am using the newest version of pstrip, nvidia drivers 41.09 (on a new install of winxp), and the RCA VGA->component converter to a 53" 4:3 hitachi hdtv.

I used to be able to do all sorts of 540p and 480p combinations quite well with the GF2. Now the only resolutions I can get that dont look HORRIBLY distorted (such as start bar in the middle of the screen with the rest of it on the other side, VERY messed up colors, etc) are 640x480p and 1280x720p (720p one still has messed up colors, just not quite as bad.)

I've messed with all the custom timing options in pstrip and am at my wits end.

Thanks for any help,

Chris B.

PS: please dont tell me to buy a radeon :p

the new detonators have different registry settings for resolutions. Powerstrip needs to be changed to address this...so I guess we just have to wait. You could use older drivers if you want
