hi there, i was told to come to this forum with this particular question.

i'm wondering if anyone can help me make that combination work properly. i've got my pc hooked up via DVI, and it displays ALMOST perfectly. the edges aren't visible, though. the screen goes past the physical display of my television.

can anyone help?

That is called overscan. It is normal. There are measures you can take, but they take quite a bit of time to do and, IMHO, aren't worth the effort when you could be enjoying the picture. Now you get to look into FFDShow ;-)

it just seems like there is too much overscan, i can barely see the taskbar or system tray. i tried powerstrip, but it won't let me manually enter timing values. can anyone tell me how to do that?

DVI is very picky. Specially w/ Toshiba. Try component or VGA.....
