I was reading an article in one of the home theater mags (I don't remember which one) that claimed that "TV Guide On Screen" was an upgraded version of "Gemstar Plus+". It stated that one of the improved features over Gemstar Plus+ was an enhanced program list editor. Has anyone heard about this? If it is correct, will the current crop of video recorders that currently use Gemstar Plus+, like the LG 3410A, be able to use the new-and-improved TV Guide On Screen when it is implemented?

No, the fee-less DVRs like the 3410 don't receive free software upgrades.

To be honest, I can't imagine what additional "program list editing" I would want. You either keep or delete programs in your record list. Plus, you can sort on program name and type for everything currently downloaded. I really don't expect much else for free.
