I have been looking at DLP's and have shown some intereset in them. I really like Samsung, and I am trying to decide between a DLP and LCD. If I get an LCD I will be getting the Samsung LN-S3251D for about $1500. I realized I can get a lot more screen real estate in a DLP for the same or less price. So I need help deciding on a DLP. My budget is about $1500 (give or take), so I don't think that will allow me to purchase a 1080p. I will want to use it for Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Blu-Ray and/or HD-DVD, DVD, and TV.
First off, how do the new Samsung DLP's compare in PQ to that Samsung LCD (LN-S3251D)?
On DLP's in general, how bad is the rainbow, or screen door effect compared to CRT's? That is one thing that tends to bother me.
Is DLP operation loud?
What are the disadvantages to them?
Do they have a break-in period?
Are there blurring/ghosting issues with DLP like there are with LCD?
