Just picked this up at Best Buy today. This is another new release by Blue Underground, who did a great job with a 70s horror flick called Shock Waves. I've never seen this unedited or in widescreen so my anticipation is high! Anyone else pick this up yet?

Watched this last night and all I can say is WOW! Although the acting isn't great, it's pretty good overall. Romero's editing is terrific. What's incredible, though, is how great this DVD looks. Colors are vibrant, blacks are black, no edge enhancement -- it just looks fantastic on a 106" screen.

Thanks for the info on The Crazies DVD transfer. I agree that it's a compelling movie. George Romero continues to impress, even on a shoestring budget. And the biological warfare element of the movie couldn't seem more contemporary.
