There is a biiiig problem with electronic delivery of the cinemaster 1.5 surround version. Support of Element5 (german online-seller) is a bad joke.


I purchased the full product, but never reveived a download-link or installer. Asking the support for help let to the answer: "We don't ship the product directly. Blame Sonic"


And Sonic answered "We cannot find your purchase-number. Ask Element5"

Not unless the charge shows up on your statement. If and when it does, then go back to Sonic asking them to match the transaction number (on the statement) with the purchase number.

And if that doesn't help, contest the charge and request a chargeback (assuming you paid by credit card). Most credit cards give you something like 60 days from day of purchase to do so. You have a better than 95% of getting the money back, this is a non-swipe transaction and the merchant does not have a signature. The way credit card processing is set up that almost guarantees you win and get the money back on a chargeback.

Things may be different in Germany with respect to chargebacks. I know that a lot of other countries have a major "caveat emptor" (or rather "bend over and take it") problem in terms of the attitude of merchants and banks as well as the local laws. The USA definitely leads the world in terms of laws and more importantly expections about consumer protection at the retail level.
