I've been dead-set on getting an HD Projector for years now. However, I have a small apartment and the screen size to justify a projector (75+) is just too big for my room. I'm looking at getting about a 50" DLP or LCD set.
I'm sure this has come up before, but my most basic question is this: do I get an HD monitor now, or should I wait? I know that significant advances are still happening in the projector world for DLP and LCD, but I don't know anything about the rear projection units. If I should wait, about how long would you suggest? Christmas? Another year? Any clue as to what's on the horizon that I should start looking at? Is there a good site to look at for reviews and comparisons of the sets and types?
Since I'm upgrading the whole HT setup, it's not too big a deal to hold off on the monitor since I can save up to get the new speakers and reciever in the mean time. Thanks in advance for the help fellas.
