Looking at one of those HP Media PCs that has blueray as a "workstation" bluray player. (ie, I will eventually have a media server to store everything, just need a capable unit to actually play the content).

My only stipulation is that I will need to get the video to output via component into my receiver. Currently I have an ATI AIW8500 with a DVI to component adapter and it works like a charm.

I don't think I can use that adapter with non-ATI cards (or even new ATI cards as they specifically list a few cards it works with).

Is there something that will let me do that with the HP computer? Other option is to build a computer and find a PCIe card that will give me component out.

Another thing - will bluray only give me HDCP headaches if I attempt to output at 1080p?

Thanks!

Bump!

Thinking about building a PC instead of buying one of the HP computers, but I still need to know what my options are as far as getting video out in 720p via component.

Thanks!
