Hi all. I have an Onkyo SR-502 and an Oppo 981 dvd player. How do I get the receiver into DTS mode? I can't hear the rear surround speakers. I can only choose the following:


PLII Movie

PLII Music

PLII Game

Neo: 6 Cinema

Neo: 6 Music


The DVD player is connected to the receiver via an optical input.

Make sure your Oppo DTS setting is set to bitstream/raw, not pcm.

It is, I still can't get into DTS mode.

You need to play a movie with a DTS track. Not all movies come with this. Try War of the Worlds, its has a nice DTS mix.
