Just attempted to rip my first CD with my GGC-H20L and using EAC 0.99 prebeta 3, it's showing the drive caches audio data ("Drive Caches Audio Data: Yes") which was unexpected. I have another couple LG [DVD-RW] drives and neither caches audio data.

Also in the CDRLabs review of it's "big brother" GGW-H20L drive, it clearly shows that EAC reports it does not cache audio data...

Exact Audio Copy can tell us a lot about a drive's capabilities. You can see from the screen shot that while the LG GGW-H20L supports accurate stream and has the ability to retrieve C2 error information from the CD, it does not cache audio data.

It doesn't say what version of EAC they used, however. You would think that the GGW would not differ in any way other than the BD write capability, no?

Anyone else encounter this problem with the GGC-H20L with EAC?
