The next game has been announced, and is on the Xbox dashboard. Here is a link to the Xbox websight to see the trailer.

Not the greatest trailer, but I have become a fan of the GRAW/RB6 games (I have not tried splinter cell yet). By far the best tacticle shooters (GRAW) so far that I have played.

The real question that I have, is when will the FPS/TFS hype die and people just get tired of these games. There are so many big franchises, that keep rehashing the same stuff, will we ever get tired of it? This year we will have Battlefield, Splinter Cell, Halo, CoD, and now GRAW, along with Lost Planet, and likely some others that I have missed. Is it possile to actually dilute the playing field by having too many?

I am looking forward to GRAW (and Battlefield) more than the others (and I am a Halo fan), but is there really going to be enough time this fall/winter to play them all?

I forgot to add that the beta will be offered to those that buy Splinter Cell.

I'm pretty pumped for it.

Each game has it's own niche...they're not all the same. If they were all the same, people wouldn't keep buying them.

I play MW2 for fun multiplayer I can do by myself. I play battlefield so I can play multiplayer in a squad. I play GRAW for the great squad single player.

Each thing has it's own purpose...as long as it stays that way, I don't think much will change.
Eh, I'll probably check this out, but I'm still annoyed with Ubi's decision to switch from the excellent Ghost Recon 2 to this "Advanced Warfighter" and "Future Soldier" stuff. GR1 and GR2 were far superior to the GRAW series, in my opinion.

Yea, you forgot Medal of Honor, Kane & Lynch 2, Dead 2 Rights, Brink, Crysis 2, Aliens vs. Predator, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and probably a dozen more announced at E3.

I agree that it's lame, but it's what this industry does.

Some of these games will inevitably bomb. You cannot have 15 or 20 games chasing the same narrow band and expect all to do well.

It's a little odd that UBI's done nothing with the GRAW and Rainbow franchises in over two years.

Maybe they're too intimidated by Infinity Ward?

Or maybe there getting something done to try and blow the doors of COD series.

How many times has splinter cell been overhauled now?
I'm hopeful it'll be a good game. You're right, that trailer really isn't hot - it doesn't show anything except for a 1/2 second glimpse of what, snipers with invisibility cloaks?

But I've enjoyed the GRAW series, so I'm looking forward to see a video that shows some actualy gameplay.

Agreed. The first Ghost Recon was one of my favorite games of all time. I hope Ubisoft does not add ridiculous perks like Modern Warfare 2.

Agreed - GR1 was the game that got me into really playing online shooters when Live first came out.
I guess we'll all find out what it's really like once Splinter Cell Conviction is released. A little fun MP beta to help drive sales is never a bad thing.

I will most likely be picking up Splinter Cell Conviction. I REALLY hope Ghost Recon will be great but definitely not holding my breath.
i really don't like this clip, i mean who cares about live action... lets see the game...

For a film this looks intriguing, for a game you are right, who the heck knows. It seems like the Ghost Recon series is following others in terms of "extras" ala Perks or Specializations. I hope they do not lose their focus on the core gameplay elements namely ballistics. You have a weapon, I have a weapon let our skill come to the forefront. I have a sinking feeling this will not be the case at all but will have to wait till the beta to find out.
May not tell much about the game, but it's a damn cool clip IMO.
Iam going to bump this thread so we can keep all the information in one place. Just wanted to see what people thought of the demo they played last night. Personally this looks like a buy to me. If they add the "invisi-camo" to the multi player though I can see it causing headaches. Looks like the game though is going to be a lot of fun. The graphics looked like they still needed polishing, but besides that its going to be a looonng wait until next year to get this title.

Where is the demo? I don't see it.

??? The demo was shown at E3, instead of creating anew thread for this game I kept this one alive. There was no information on the demo from what I know, but I beelive it was playable at E3 this year.
Heres a link to some gameplay video and information from the G4 coverage (this is extended beyond what we saw at the main conference)
