Have a 2010 Samsung PN42C450 42" plasma. Use OTA for regular TV, have a HTPC connected (AMD A10-5700) for DVD/BD, web streaming and file playback, use VLC for file playback.

The issue I have (and have had it since we got the tv) is some image ghosting/IR but ONLY when playing movie files (.mkv, .mp4, .avi, ones I've ripped or ones I've downloaded). Doesn't happen at all on OTA, web streaming (Amazon Prime, TWit.tv webcasts, PlayOn w/XBMC) or DVD/BD thru the BD drive in the HTPC.

I have the latest drivers from AMD, use the HDTV-720p resolution setting in Catalyst Control Center.

Is it just the files themselves in how they were ripped/encoded or just a thing plasma's have playing these types of content?
