So does one of these equal 2 Johnny subs?
I think it's closer to 3 "Johnny's"
Ltd posted graphs earlier on in the thread, subjectivly it stomps all over my 4 sealed uxl's.

"Why would anybody need one, let alone two of these. "

It's complicated:

https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=AwrSbgJZ6EZYfTYAYjtXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEycTZscGd2BGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjI5MjZfMQRzZWMDc2M-?p=It's+Complicated&fr=mcafee

FTR after helping @kevings off the launch pad and even deeper into the rabbit hole and as of last spring seeing the 3 full sized Marty's we built in action (before he added the sealed NF 21"), I can't think of any good reason to not build it.

As I told @LTD02, for a mere $300 or so, why not help the cause, enable my OCD, and see how the advancing theory of design works out.

also, not having anyone to tell you NO!

What a crazy hobby this is. It really is bordering on insanity. Why would anybody need one, let alone two of these. I wish I had the space for a couple of these.
For me it was curiosity, I couldn't find anyone local with a horn loaded sub.... So I figured, why not build one..or two.:D
So glad I did.

Fattykid, when you have to schedule your listening tests around your neighbour's schedule... you really might have a problem. :)

I pity your drop ceiling. Are the tiles literally jumping in the T-bar?
I try to be cool with the neighbors when I'm planning on running sweeps and sine waves.. Movies, they seem to be cooler about.
I have the ceiling weighted down. It helps.

.02 wrt FLH

after enjoying immensely the many impressive/superior design/response qualities of 3 BFM THTLP's, a 24" and 2 30"'s and drinking/drowning in the Kool-Ade ,
(working with 1/2" ply serious challenge but the answer is:IITP)

the 1 thing that raised an eyebrow was a comment by Bill that 15's were good enough for a well designed FLH,
he should know, Right?
he's got a picture of a destroyed 18 that indicated, 18's can't cut it . .

but meanwhile, I was still thinking . . what if there was 1 that could?

and LTD02 had his original thread that had died wrt V2, nobody wanted to take that on . . .. 38 ft^3

lazy guy that I am, the thought of using 3/4" ply, multiple tubes of PL3X and a ton of kreg screws . . .
easy -peasy

and going to an inuke amp and having a few more options over a BASH 300 wrt EQ, etc.
Not knowing what i was doing? no problem!
just build it the right way . . .

and the rest, as they say, is just totally F'n awesome woofage.

That's why . .

Beautiful looking mouth bracing! If you got the room, post a pic of both subs lying down with the mouths side by side. I bet that's gonna look awesome!

yeah, that let's stand them up, now, lay them down, then stand it up again thing

these things don't' do burpees ,

the idea of a lower knee, indeed some magnificent engineering, but . . . . .

at about 300+#'s if you can get it on a dolly , either vertical or horizontal, you have a tendency to leave it there,
building this thing, piece of cake
playing waltzing matilda with it, a considerable serious effort.

if you want to destroy yourself, let the sub do it while you sit there grinning your butt off . .

short hop up a few steps?
I got lucky - big A$$ refrigerator dolly and built in tightening strap and 2 extra bodies

if you really want to see 2 well performing mouths in action -
well, many of us have seen that movie,

otherwise, i recommend photoshop

when you click on the paperclip to attach a file, can't you import a full resolution version of your picture?

if you are having difficulty linking it up, shoot me a pm and we can sort it out. didn't seem like you were having any issues before.
