I have a few years old LN46A650. I recently switched from AT&T U-verse to Comcast (but not sure this is related) but do notice that the hair on the "talking heads" (mostly on shows like CNN and MSNBC) appear to be glistening or very shiny (almost like they are wet). I do not notice that much on other channels however. Not sure what picture adjustments I need to make on the TV as I have made a few (tint, color, etc.) and nothing seems to help.

Thoughts?

You are probably getting a higher bit rate (better picture ) Yes some of the talking heads are shiny even some of the ones with glistening hair under the bright studio lights. OTOH if the picture looses detail (visible hair strands etc. ) the reverse could be the case .

The talking heads sometimes suffer from way over bright studio lighting and some shows use face detection / softening digital effects that make wrinkles and other age related features less visible along with picture detail particularity in the faces of the commentators .
