Yeah, received a registration card for this today..It's to take place the March 11th, and 12th if i'm not mistaken..Appears to be an RSVP thing but I could be wrong. Not sure if all locations are having it,probably so..Invite is to come out and check all the latest new machines and most fun part, get to taste test all the food from those machines!!!Looking forward to this one, just got to convince the wife it's worth missing a day of work for!LOL

Pam, is the equipment for sale there really discounted that much?

Brickie,

I can't speak for the branch locations, but during the sale we put on in Cincinnati always has some great bargains especially on our used equipment.

I would have to say that Chicago and Orlando do a pretty good job.

This threads put a smile on my face.... You guys will have to let me know how the different open houses go. I should be attending the show in Chicago and perhaps a few other. Hopefully I will see some of you guys there! :)

Megapop is VERY good..... Popcorn should only be popped in Coconut oil if you ask me...:)

The Orville Reddenbacher portion kits test the best out of all of them if you ask me. They also use coconut oil. If you happen to have a Subway inside your local Wal-Mart, they are using that brand of corn. The Wal-Mart in Reynoldsburg Ohio has a Subway inside BNeely.

Coach,I agree Orvilles is good. I believe it is what is popped at most Target stores.I just need a little more flavacol myself, which Megapop seems to have.

Well made it out to the sale along with the family today..Had a nice time. Not as big as I thought it may be,but there was PLENTY to eat!!!!!!!!! Left quite satisfied and was nice to see so many machines on display. The 4oz Funpop looks much better to me now that iv'e seen it in person, although I still prefer my 1911 machine. I'll tell you,I didn't talk pricing at all, just talked about food!Would most definitely say get out to one if you can.

More importantly, what kind of food were they giving away? I'd have to buy about 50 cases of MegaPop to justify the expense of gasoline - but if I could feed a family of 5 while we're there, it might be more worth the trip. ;)

Just bought a case of 4oz Megapop..This stuff seems to be tough to find, but they had it.It is actually called Funpop instead of Megapop, but when you open box you know they are the same...

As for food,ALL types of popcorn, hotdogs, pizza, icees, brats, ice cream, funnel cakes(HUGE!!!!!!!),assorted nuts, nachos, and i'm sure some other stuff I can't remember!! And many people did have their kids there. If you were in the market for a machine it may be worth it to go,but just for food...toss up.And of course i'm factoring in if you had to drive hours to get to it...If it's close, most definitely check it out.

Brickie,

I am glad that you had a good time at the show. I apologize that I was not there. I was in Orlando earlier this week and came down with a bad case of the flu. I am still trying to recover from it. I hope you got a good price on the 4oz kits. You are correct when saying that they are the same thing as the megapop kits.
