I'm looking for a good dvd player outputting 480i so I can have my Infocus 4805 deinterlacer to all the work. It seems the really good dvi/hdmi players w/o many problems are much too expensive for me. I'm looking to spend no more than $200 (lower, better) for a decent player as my cyberhome just isn't cutting it. I'm not too worried about DVD-A or SACD, though being able to play dvdr, mp3, svcds and divx would be a plus.

Any suggestions would be great.

I have a Panasonic RP-91 in like new condition, if you're interested.

IMHO, it is one of the best 480i players available. I am only willing to let it go because I have switched to a Denon 2910 on my HT1000 to run 720P.

I have the RP-91 listed for sale in the AVS sale area.

Let me know if you have any questions about the player.

I also have the RP91 and I am letting my Optoma H30 (Pixelworks de-interlacer) do the work and I highly recommend it. The H30 is similar to your 4805 in most ways. I find the picture quality to be outstanding. It is easily the best player I have used for my projector (92" screen).

I wholeheartedly recommend the RP91, but they can have problems with the spindle motor. Mine got the infamous H02 error after about 6 months of use (900 hours) and I have sent it in for repair to Panasonic. It is not too expensive to fix (about $100 plus shipping) and the replacements are supposed to be superior to the old ones. Not every RP91 has the problems and if Bytehoven's has been in service for a while then there should be no issues with it.

The RP91 is over 2 years old at the newest and I still will have this one repaired before buying a different player.
