Anyone here know of a good place to demo PJ in Michigan. I live in lansing. The local places here only have marantz and yamaha. I'm looking to demo all the bands that people have been raving about, sonyo, sony, infocus...

well what part of michigan? i am in kalamazoo and i can tell you that there is only one store here that even displays pj's. Currently they only have the sharp 9000 (getting the 10000) but they are also gonna be displaying the sony ht12 and i talked to them and he said theat they will get the hs10, but you may have to sweet talk them into displaying it. I came from st louis recently where there were several places to view pjs of all $$ range so this is killing me. They have another branch of this same store (classic stereo) in grand rapids, but i have not investigated what other a/v stores there are in grand rapids and i know nothing about detroit stores. If you know of any stores on the west side of the state please post them

Funny, I talked to a "video specialist" a couple of weeks ago at Classic in GR and he didnt even know what the HS10 was. The only other store in GR with pj is streeo showcase, havent had time to stop and ask if they carry sony.

I live in East Lansing. The local shop in Okemos has a Marantz at $12,000... At that price I feel guilty just asking for a demo.

Snide, I would love to come over for a demo. With all the buzz of the sanyo on this forum that is the PJ I have in mind.

There simply isn't a decent place in Michigan to demo. Basically everyone has a Sharp 9000u set up. Some shops have a Marants or a Seleco in a second room.. all DLP. Everyone has removed there CRT PJs. LCDs are totally neglected (I want to demo Sanyo and Sonys new gear).


I've covered the Detroit areas, Saginaw, Flint... nothing.
