Good Quality SVGA Switch

195 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  c5Guy
Does anyone have any experience with switching SVGA (HD15) between sources? I want to switch between a Monitsu V880 and my HTL-HD to my front PJ. I am concerned that generic KVM switches would introduce noise @ 1080/720 rates.

I have a generic beige box switchbox that does fine. It doesn't introduce any noise as far as I can see.

Keep in mind computer resolutions are higher the HDTV resolutions; 1080i is really only like 540p bandwidth-wise, which is a lower scan rate than 800 x 600. 1024 x768 is higher than 720p.
I have a Kramer Tools VP 209 that works great! They make a couple of newer models PT 201vga and VP201x1vga. Their website is www.kramerelectronis.com
Been using a Cables to go manual 2 input to 1 output for years, less than $15.
I also use a $15 generic beige box switchbox. No difference in picture noted.
