Any of the Harmony remotes would probably work just fine, just look for features you want.

However, you may want to take a look at some other brands as well. I just went through the remote search as well, and I ended up getting a Universal Remote Control Digital R50. This is actually a very cool remote, once you learn how to program it. Very powerful with almost unlimited macros.

The one downside to the URC R50 is that there is no computer interface so there is no way to add discrete codes to it unless you have access to another remote that has those codes which you can use to learn the codes to the R50.

Just to clarify on this statement...

While what is said is true, there are many, many discrete codes already built into the R50. I have a Sony TV, Panasonic Blue Ray Player, DishNetwork Satellite Receiver and non of them have discrete codes on the remotes that came with them. However, the R50 has the discrete codes already built in for each of these devices.

I had narrowed my choice down to the Harmony 900 and the R50. At the end of the day, I could not justify $200 more for the Harmony. I was a little nervous about going with the R50 because of the lack of computer programming, but am glad I did. I have a Harmony 670 and like it, but honestly like the flexibility of the R50 better.

Good luck with your search.

Why would you be choosing between an RF remote and an IR remote? It seems that you should have compared the One to the R50 if you didn't have a requirement for RF control.

I would love to accept any suggestions on a remote to combine my Sony bluray, Samsung LCD, Denon 1909, cable box. Would just about any of the harmony's do the trick?

You might want to consider the Monster AVL 300. Adorama has it incredibly cheap $99. So far I've been impressed with the one I purchased. It also has the Omnilink RF receiver/IR blaster.
