Would I lose audio quality if I stream Spotify or YouTube Music via Chromecast to my speakers via this converter?

I have no experience streaming through an HDMI converter, but have success using a Chromecast Audio (only) device streaming to both legacy and modern audio systems. Chromecast Audio has analog L/R and SPDIF outputs. While Chromecast Audio is officially discontinued, the device is available both new and used on EBay.

Well I already have a spare Chromecast and am wondering if it’ll work please. 🤷‍♂️
I stream mp3/FLAC music files from my phone using the app Poweramp via chromecast and it sounds great and far as i can tell is playing the full audio quality. I've used both a regular Chromecast and now Nvidia Shield pro 2019 that has chromecast built in. I haven't tried any music services for this though. Chromecast/Shield both connected via HDMI to my AVR.

What AVR receiver do you use that has HDMI in? Thanks!

Denon 3700, I also have a chromecast hooked up to a marantz 1607.
According to the description, it supports lossless audio via LPCM.
Otherwise it depends on what the service streams, and what bandwidth the device supports (which isn't in the description).
The description does have a reference to the Chromecast. I doubt it would be so bad you'd hear the difference.
For the price and the fact that it's available via Prime w/free returns, there doesn't seem to be much risk to try it out.
