I know there are ways to get this in Win2K/WinXP but I never heard of it working under Win98/Me. This is under Windows Millenium
Finally got some results with the help of CinePlayer 4.0.
I installed ATI DVD player 5.0 first then installed Cineplayer. After configuring CinePlayer to YAMAHA DSXG WaveOut(WDM) for my Xwave 5000 yamaha 724 based sound card, I launched ATI Player without touching the audio configuration panel and it works, somehow it's passing DD 5.1 though the SPDIF. The configuration panel still indicates "Downmix to 2 channels" though, weird enough
I tried DTS also but then it shows an fatal error on QUARTZ.DLL
