Got my Radeon HD 5450 today but having a really big problem

I got my Radeon 5450 today but when I installed it into Windows 7 it only recognized it as a Standard VGA card, even after I installed the 10.1 drivers it did not make any difference.

I have an Asus M3N78 Pro mobo which is up-to-date on bios, and has the latest chipset drivers installed (Nvidia Drivers). I tried to force the drivers and still would not change. If anyone has any ideas on this, I would really appreciate it.. I would love to get this working tonight!

Do you have onboard HDMI? If so, did you disable it before installing the video card?
How do I disable it, is that in the bios?
You installed ATI drivers for it? With Windows 7 you're suppose to be able to have both installed.
Yes I installed the ATI drivers they are just sitting there waiting for the card. I did uncheck the only HDMI (audio) option in my bios. This was a fresh install of Windows 7 so there were no graphics drivers before. The only Nvidia drivers I installed were the chipset drivers.
Which 10.1 drivers? There are multiple releases. Here's the latest for the 5400/5500 series.
Did u install 10.1 or did u install the February 10th update? you need to install ATI_Win7_Vista_8.692RC2_Feb10.exe which is special update that was released for 5400 and 5500 video cards. regular 10.1 drivers won't support these new cards
Ok I think this may be an aspect I missed here I will go try it out.
Also, they should be connected - both your IGP and the 5450 upon restart. That's how the system sees the displays. Connect to displays or receivers.
Ok so that driver did the job, now I just need to figure out why I am not getting any image out of HDMI... I am close but not quite there yet. DVI to HDMI works find but when I go straight HDMI to my Denon 1910 I get no image.. or sound.
Each HDMI as you use it has to be enabled in playback devices. It has to be set as default to be viewed. Sometimes you have to do reconfigure.

Think of the playback devices panel as a switch. As you set each as a default it will work to your connected device. Of course, they work one at a time. And it causes display flicker when switching.
Well I am just talking about Windows by itself. If I go DVI to HDMI I get an image but when I plug in HDMI by itself and fire up the computer I get no image. Is there a place I need to enable it within windows?

Or are you saying I may need to do a different configuration on my Denon 1910.

Sorry the HTPC aspect of computers is new to me, although I understand computers themselves.
Does anyone know if there is a setting in the Catalyst drivers to toggle on HDMI, I seem to be missing something here but I have tried my projector and an LCD monitor and I cant get any image out of HDMI, but DVI is working fine.
Well this seems like an issue with my Denon 1910, it does not seem to like the video from my HTPC but will take other HDMI sources just fine. When I bypass it and go right to my Projector it works just fine.
Thanks everyone for the help on this, just need to get my receiver working with it and I will be good to go! Thanks again.

The DENON EDID video timings might be conflicting with the projector's. An EDID override should help you with that (look at the link in my sig.). OTH, unless CAT 10.2 has a fix for it, you'll require the specific audio mod given in the link to bitstream with your 5450 over the DENON.
