I have a HTPC with a 8500 video card that has been giving me frequent "driver failed" messages and am changing to a new 240 series card and have noticed in revues of the card on new egg that people say to disable reltec on board audio before booting up and loading new card[240] does this mean I can re-enable the on board audio after I load the drivers for the 240??
I run the HTPC to a projector so I don't use the HDMI audio from the card and will need the SPIF from the motherboard for sound will this still work?

Under playback devices, select your spdif device for audio. I looked at four 240's at newegg and none suggested disable. Just select spdif and make it default.
