I saw this at the mall the other day and decided to get it this week, it's slightly small at 4oz but I rarely have more than 3 people at once and I can always make more batches consecutively if I want a lot. It works very well and is well built. I just changed the 60 watt "heat" lamp for a 75 watt halogen spot light which keeps the popcorn very warm (the original bulb barely heated it).

Does this model have a corn deck freshener? Or a heat element under the food zone? Be sure to check the wattage rating of the lamp socket. You really don't want to exceed the rating.

What the heck is a corn deck freshener???

It doesn't have an element under but the 75 watt halogen spotlight keeps the popcorn pretty warm. It does say 60 watt max but the first time I made sure nothing was getting too hot and it's fine, I've left it on all day without problems.

A corn deck freshener is a heated bottom surface of the cabinet, usually a 50 watt heat element under the bottom panel that heats the popped corn in the cabinet from below. Much more efficient and effective than heating from above, via a heat lamp.
