What advantages would a 5750 have over a 5670. From what i understand, their upscaling abilities are the same but what about encoding and other graphical HTPC realted issues. Trying to decide between 5770, 5750 and 4670

Any education appreciated.

what is F&H. SO if i get Total Media theatre and the SlimHD add on, i will not see any improvement between a 5670 and a 5770 for watching videos as well as streaming them to my ps3. Do these programs take in the video format and upscale and manipulate it before streaming it or do you hae to save a copy using the software before streaming it. I don't realyy understand why these cards help so much with games but so little with videos and dvd's. Do you now of another software package that is better than TMT w SLim HD. IF the GPU makes no difference, should i spend my money on a better processor.

There is no difference in video playback between 5670 and a higher card. A graphics card has nothing to do with streaming to PS3.

SimHD (not SlimHD) is a software upscaling technology. ATI's own upscaling is good enough for me (you just need an ATI card/driver and a MPEG-2 video decoder supporting DXVA such as Microsoft's own one).
