If you can go up a bit (under $600) you can do 660Ti SLI which is faster than a single 680 (providing your mobo and PS can support it)

Or...

you can get a GTX680 4GB for around $530.

wait for the GTX780 that might be under $600...?

grab a 7970 and OC the heck out of it for under $400 (best bang for the buck).

I love it when 500 bucks just shows up. You never know what can be found in between sofa cushions.

I'd wait a little bit and see what the upcoming GTX 770 offers in terms of value. If the rumors turn out correct that the stock 770 will be a little faster than a 680 at $400, then it will certainly be a great card for your money.

I agree with this too. I have dual-670s and love them but with the 700-series imminent, you would be better off waiting till they come out and making a decision.

If you really want a card now, the EVGA 670 FTW 4GB edition is a great futureproof option at ~$450.

titan le will be less powerful than orginal Titan ?

and amd equal will be 7990?

Yeah, most likely slower clock speeds and 1gb less ram. I would say the LE means Light Edition, but it's still a single gpu card. the 7990 is a dual gpu. The Radeon 8000's are supposed to be out late summer early fall according to current estimates.

EDIT: Current estimate is that the GTX780 will be about 15% less powerfull than the Titan and cost in the range of $550-650 depending on branding and factory overclocks etc.

will it still be better than a 680? I wonder if 690/680 prices will ever drop

There's no doubt it will be better than a 680. The clocks will be faster and it will have more VRAM, that's a given. A 680 will be just below a 770. the GTX770 is supposed to be a 4gb card that's about 15% better than the 680.

I don't forsee the 690 dropping anytime soon as it's a dual gpu card.

Speaking of the gtx680 and 770 check this out on flashing your card.

Heh, so it's just a custom BIOS and an INF that renames it to trick your comp into thinking it's a 770, while having similar performance, funny lol.

Doesn't 3GB of RAM seem kind of light for a high-end card especially compared to the 8GB available in next-gen consoles?

My next GPU will have 4GB at a minimum. I think that will be the sweet spot to max out next-gen games.
