 Entertainment Consumers Association

They have nothing to do with me, I just want to pass along a deal I've found. They are a non-for-profit organization. Totally legit. You pay $20 for membership and you have access to their member's area, which includes $5 off discount coupons (and other benefits) towards purchases on Amazon (which will expire on 9/09). Since they expire on 9/09 I have no idea whether or not they will either offer more coups for the same amount, a lower amount, or even none at all.

So far I have preordered from Amazon:

Arkham Asylum: $35.45 after $5 off coupon and ECA code

Borderlands: $41.39 after 10% ECA discount

Dragon Age Origins: $42.74 after ECA discount

and I'll probably order more.

For complete list of benefits available at ECA check out THIS thread at Cheapassgamer.com.

Since they are non-for-profit I think this thread will be OK, and won't be borked.

They seem to be a decent group. Besides, more Americans game than go to the movies now. It's a bigger industry. It's time they have a lobbying group- they apparently want to be the one.
