Can someone verify if this receiver is Atmos "ready" meaning it just needs a firmware update? Seems like a great deal!!!

According to the Pioneer website these three receivers at Atmos upgradeable. SC-85, SC-87, SC-89.

Maybe that's why the SC-75 is being discounted?

If it doesn't have it...should I hold out for a deal on the SC-85??? I have a 8 year old Denon that is becoming a pain due to lack of HDMI.

You might want to confirm BUT I believe that with Elite receivers purchased online, Pioneer won't honor the warranty...

Probably no warranty...but I've yet to use a warranty on a receiver, ever. Just need to decide if Atmos is worth it or not.

The SC-75 was released in 2013, while Atmos was only just first introduced in the 2014 models (SC-85,87, 89) a few months ago.
