I recently bought samsung 1080p HLR 6168. Connected a pc (P4-1.3GHZ, 384 RD RAM, PNY FX5700(NVIDIA) with tv tuner) using VGA to VGA cable. Routine coumputer stuff -- like internet, office applications look great on 1920x1080 resolution. I am really impressed with the clearity and quality of picture.

My quesiton is how do I get best possible DVD playback using my current setup?

I have powerdvd-5 software on my pc. I know i need a better graphics card but that not an option for me right now.

Any suggestions?? Recommendations??

I think your CPU is more of the problem than your video card

I would consider getting better DVD software than powerDVD to start

look at TheaterTek or zoomplayer

with that nice of a TV, you could highly benefit from ffdshow resizing

but your CPU is much too slow for that
