The green tint for me seems to be only present with digital displays since they dont show on my anolog displays as much. I been happy with my Denon 2910/DLP via DVI/HDMI combo, but this weekend I did a test with my 2910/CRT RPTV (Sony 53HS30) via component. What I notice was that the 2910/DLP has a very slight green tint when compared to the 2910/CRT RPTV combo (maybe its was there but well compensated for?). I grown use the 2910/DLP so I never really notice the very minor slight green tint. But doing comparisons retween the 2 combo's really show the diff Pic's for each set. Just about being real bum'd out about the green tint on my new gear, I played the same DVD on my computer, it also showed a green tinted pic just like the 2910/DLP did. Actually what got me wondering about this was that I have a very old 14" montor from my apple 2 days and it has a composite (RCA) video input that I used to monitor my AVR settings so I dont have to use the main set for the display. The pic is displayed on both units (monitor and DLP TV) at the same time so the diff was appearent. This was confirmed when I used the 2910/CRT RPTV combo but to a lesser degree. So is the green actually on the DVD when its master'd. And are they being master on small anolog CRT sets rather then Digital sets. The green tint is not there on HiDef recordings or from my other cable TV sources when played on the DLP, seems only from some DVD's.
