I recently came across a great deal on some "dim out" material at a local fabric store ($4 /M Cdn)...


The material has a beige fabric side and a light grey "rubbery" side...I'm using the grey side for a screen for my new X1...


I think the image looks really nice with the slight grey enhancing the black levels...


But I was wondering if this material is the same thing as the black-out material everyone refers to? I'm happy with the image but was wondering if I'm missing out on something better?
