Grey paint vs sliding bat cave

499 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  smania
Hi,

I'm setting up a room as small office/theater room.
What kind of difference would it make to image quality:

- walls painted grey

vs

- a retractable bat cave (sliding black velvet curtains on the sides and on top)

?

you will have 2 rooms in one.. an office feel and a small cinema feel. get the curtains.
I've spent some time in all black rooms and some time in rooms with dark fabric and dark painted walls. I will never build an all black room for myself. Too depressing and a little disorienting.

Yes no way I'm painting a room black. I was thinking either grey or sliding curtains... but sliding curtains mean ugly bars in the middle of the room...
