so i sat down to watch CNBC this morning at 5:30 am, only to find The Learning Channel. oh, that's right, Comcast changed their channel lineup. why doesn't Replay reflect the changes?


these changes were announced two weeks ago! i did manual connects to the mothership, no help. i cleared the channel guide (243Zones), no help. i changed my zip code to another part of the country, then back to my zip code, no help.


i don't think it's fair to use this forum to personally appeal to ReplayLyndon, but in this case, i'll make an exception: What does it take for Replay to get it right? how long am i going to have to manually map the new channels to the wrong Replay guide?

Is the listing correct at www.zap2it.com ? The data originates with TMS and if Zap2It isn't correct, ReplayTV won't be correct.

Did you check to see if there is a "rebuild" lineup in your area? Many times, these things are rolled out in phases, so rather than change the existing lineup and screw up those who haven't changed yet, they'll create a new lineup in addition to the old one.

of course you're right, i was just too annoyed this morning to think straight. TMS still has it wrong on Zap2it. i guess i should redirect my overblown rage toward them ;)

i did check for that, but they list only the same "cable" option they have always listed, no rebuild options.


i wouldn't be so ticked off if this was one or two channels, but they switched around a good portion of their lineup. and like i said, i received a new lineup listing in the mail two weeks ago, so why can't the guide services get it right?

so many people to be angry at, so little time...


i wonder if Tivo got it right? do they use TMS? i've been too scared to do a Guided Setup on mine because i don't want to update the software. maybe i should visit the TiVo forums and beg for help over there.

TMS still has it wrong. hard to believe that Comcast decided not to tell TMS about the change.

I've noticed that, a couple of times a year usually around Memorial Day and Labor Day, TMS's listings are not current. They do not extend as far into the future and there appear to be holes in the farthest listings. I always attributed this to personnel vacation schedules. How many people do you suppose work on the updating?
