On a whim I hooked up my new camcorder to my GWIII XBR vis Firewire and BAM!
The set has a bilt in real time DV to MPEG transcoder. This is one cool feature I never really saw anyone talk about or even on a feature list. I tried to hook up my old DV Cam to my Mitz 65909 and it didnt support the format.
I wonder of the GWIV supports this. This is probably a feature of the ATI Xellion core in the set.
Full control of the device through the XBR's remote even works.
