Looking at the H/K 3390 to use with my Paradigm Mini-Monitor V6 Bookshelf Speakers … Stereo listening only. I already have a Subwoofer, Airport Express, Mac Mini for streaming audio. I also have a TT which I would like to use via a phono input or phono preamp …

I have read that at this price point, an AVR *might* be a better choice because of the room correction mic. feature and better bass management.

Anyone care to chime in?

Thanks!

Seems like researching recent posts is a lost art. Many of us chimed in last week, and the week before that, and the week before that and the week before that...

You seem to know the relevant issues - bass management, automated system optimization and tuning, etc.

Got any concerns that aren't old news?

Depends on which receiver or AVR you chose.

Precisely.

I have a low end Yamaha and I've set it up with just the front panel display and buttons.

I have a mid-end Denon and not so much.

Your authority in this matter is the user manual, which is generally available online.
