I just bought a new Sony 46HX800 and made a very simple switchover of all my components from my 2-year old Sharp HDTV. I use a Harman Kardon AVR 3600 receiver.

I haven't changed any source components, except for relocating my router's location for internet access on the tv.

Everything previously ran on HDMI *and I plugged everything into the proper connection. But for some reason, I am not able to run audio from the TV over the home theater system.

The Blu Ray player has no problem running sound through either the TV or the receiver... so why would the TV have problems routing sound over the home theater speakers? I just updated the AVR 3600 software to ensure all systems are up to date...

thanks for the help!

How are you trying to get the audio from the TV to your A/V receiver? Do you have a separate audio connection (analog or digital) from the TV to your A/V receiver? The TV does not output audio through the HDMI connection, that connection is only for audio into the TV.
