H21 guide button

Is there a setting or something that I am missing that when I press the 'Guide' button I go directly to the guide, instead of having to go to the filter? Right now I have to hit 'Guide' twice to get to the actual guide. Thanks.

In the settings menu, there is an option to set which will come up first. I believe it's under the "display" settings. That will fix the problem and actually reverse what is happening now.

Also, make sure you aren't running a custom guide layout if that's not what you want to see.
I looked in the Setup menu and under Display and I can't find it. What exactly is it under?
Network is correct. Its possible you have not received the update that allows it. They is an option to "show guide date first" instead of the category options. AS the software rolls out, you should get it. Just give it a few days.
Ok, cool. Do I have to have the phone line hooked up to get the update or will the update come thru the sat? BTW, what version is the update?
All updates come through the sat. Unlike the TiVo box, you do not have to have your phone line connected to get the updates.

Sorry, I don't know what the current nation release version is, nor do I know what the coming release version will be.

I need that release, my last update was in December. Any ideas when it is coming?

Also, I used to be able to category sort>sports>hocckey and it would remember it. Now it seems I have to choose each one every time I do a search. Any way to remember the former search?
