hacked/upgraded firmware for Pio DV-588a

I am just wondering if there was a region free/blacker than black, etc. etc. firmware patch for the 588a the same way as some of the older models?

Found hacked firmware for it... makes the player Region Free... but so far I haven't found a "blacker than black" fix.
