Several posters on the Neogaf forums have recieved their beta invite codes. They've already downloaded the Halo 3 beta which is 911.17 MB in size. They are going to start posting pictures and videos soon.

I hope we get some honest opinions of the beta before Wednesday when the Crackdown H3 beta opens up.

Its not just the crackdown beta opening up on the 16th. According to Bungie, the 16th is when the beta actually opens up (for everyone). These guys must be part of that group Bungie said would be able to get in early. Bungie called it friends and family.

Guys we have a few AVS'ers that have been playing H3 since the Alpha build , I have a couple of them in my friends list . I'm sure they have been NDA'd and things must be opened now with all the posts popping up so maybe we can get some feedback from our fellow AVS'ers that have been playing for a while (I will not say who they are however , just incase they are still locked to the NDA) .

NDA was for Internal Beta. Internal Beta is over and Public Beta has begun. So, there is no longer any NDA limiting discussions on Public Beta.


NDA still applies for any differences between the Public and Internal Beta.

Right now, it is only for Friends and Family. Crackdown and other Rules of 3 participants will be able to access Beta next week.

The multiplayer is mostly going to be an incremental improvement over Halo 2. Frankly, no one can expect big changes in the multiplayer department.


I do hope they make a real single player campaign this time. Halo 2 was a dud for people who prefer single player.

I only ever played the SP of the original Halo. I thought it sucked, but in all fairness I did play it on the PC, which means it was hardly revolutionary or anything by the time I got around to it (and the repeating level design didn't help anything).


But the game aside, I really enjoyed the whole idea of the Halo itself, and enjoyed the story. Never played H2, but am planning on picking up H3, so hopefully it does have a good story with it (and hopefully I won't be lost having not played H2).
