I have had this system for a number of years and all of a sudden the fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse and turned it on. Blew that fuse in a matter of mili-sec. I tried to take the back plate off to look at the wires to make sure there isn't a short. I couldn't even get it off. Looks like they glue it in. I then tried to take the sub out and look in from there. It's a fully molded plastic housing. The sub doesn't get moved or played with.

Anyone have any ideas how I can save the sub and figure why its blowing fuses left and right?

Thanks in advance.

Other individuals with similarly repeatedly blowing fuses have had failing amplifier sections.

Some plate amps are 'glued' down (or at least seem that way). See if you can get a flat screwdriver under the edges of the plate and slowly work the plate loose.

If you have the service manual, are handy with a volt/ohm meter and soldering iron, you could try to fix it yourself.

EndersShadow has a very good list of recommended subs in this forum. Search for it.
