(Thought I'd put this outside the usual SLC thread, so we Salt Laker's could have some "bragging rights", for everyone to see).
Thursday, October 28, 2004 is the five year anniversary for the first two DTV Utah stations to go on-line. KSL-DT (NBC) and KTVX-DT (ABC) signed on at noon on October 28, 1999.
There are now eight full-power DTV stations broadcasting from the DTV Utah common transmitter site on Farnsworth Peak. Additionally, PAX and FOX transmit (FOX with Low Power, PAX at full) from the adjacent sites on Farnsworth and Little Farnsworth.
Also, experimental DTV translator stations are on the air, relaying several of the SLC stations, at Lewis Peak, Park City, Levan Peak and Monroe.
