My hard disk (replay tv series 2xxxx) is totally dead.

I've tried to install a new hard disk, using the TTVPatch utility, but I can not read the system partition from the old hard disk.

what are my options?


- Can I take an image stored (back up) by some other RTV and use it to restore mine? If I do so, do I put the other RTV in jeopardy?

No problem. We use other replay disk images all the time.


To download a new disk image for your replay 2000 recorder go to ftp://replay:[email protected]/ look in the images/replay/20xx folder and download “replay20XXvs3.02.zip†file. This file contains everything needed to create a replay2000 drive including mirroring software, disk image and instructions how to install the disk image.

You shouldn't have any problem with another image.


Hard drives are available for purchase with (other machines') images already on them.


This is an opportunity to put a big, honking hard drive in there. (OK, only up to a 160 GB drive to get the 137 GB max capable.)
