I have to basic questions:

1) Is it better to allow WinDVD to decode the DD and send the decoded sound to my soundcard, and on out my analog ports OR is it better to have WinDVD pass the encoded DD to my soundcard to decode, and dole out the analog ports itself? Keep in mind, I'm using WinDVD 5.0 Platinum with an Audigy 2, and Creative Gigaworks speakers.

2) Is it better to enable hardware decode acceleration and hardware color acceleration, or let WinDVD do it? Keep in mind, I'm using a Radeon 9800 Pro.

Also keep in mind I'm not looking for any fancy filter swapping solutions, so I don't want to hear how Zoomplayer can do this and that. Please just compare the options presented. Finally, it's a sad fact that due to some quirk of WinDVD, hardware sound decoding does not work well with hardware video decoding, resulting in a loss of syncronization.

Thanks in advance.
