I have an HK AVR 247 which is roughly 6 months old. Just a few days ago it started turning off randomly. When this occurs there is a click/pop from the system (or speakers, not sure which). The sound stops, but the video through the receiver continues (picture w/o audio essentially). All the lights on the receiver stay on and appear normal.


I turn the system off and back on and everything works just fine again.


The volume doesn't seem to influence when this occurs.


Where do I start in when trying to figure out why the heck this is occurring?

Check your connections and ensure there are no shorts. A blown speaker driver could also cause issues. You might be able to test this by disconnecting all speakers and reconnecting them one at a time.
