I have been waivering between the HK avr-245 and the pioneer 1016. I love the warm sound of the HK, but I am concerned about the quality control issues. I am using polk monitor 30s for fronts, M10s for rears, csm center and pws10, all of which I love, but are on the bright side. I want to even it all out. I am currently using a 6 year old JVC RX-6008. Any recommendations??????????????????

personally I'd go with the HK even with some of the issues they seem to have more than other receivers. Thier CS is first rate so if you buy authroized with a waranty you should be ok. I've tried the 1016 and was not impressed.
