The One does Sequences/Macros and the 900 doesn't.

Other RF Harmony remotes are the 1000 and 1100.

You can almost accomplish the same task with an IR repeater and the Harmony One (or any IR remote), but you'll still have to point the remote at the IR receiver and run a cable from the receiver to the repeater base. With the RF base you don't have to point, just be within its RF range for it to work.

Yes, it does activities. It doesn't do Sequences. A Sequence is what Logitech calls a macro of up to 5 commands that you can assign to any button. The ability to do a Sequence has been removed from the 1100 and 900. Funny that the cheapest Harmony 300 can do something that their highest end model can't do. More than likely you would never use it, but if that is something you need then the 900 isn't for you. The typical use for it is to turn on Closed Captioning or changing picture or sound mode by hitting a series of commands such as Menu, down, enter, down, enter.
